Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care through cleanings and prophylaxis
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
• Take and develop dental radiographs to support diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure smooth workflows
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
• Apply fluoride and sealants to promote long-term dental health

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Great communication skills and a warm, patient-friendly approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Dental radiography and imaging techniques
• Patient assessment and oral health evaluation
• Prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
• Infection control and sterilization standards
• Patient education and preventive care
