Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients
• Develop personalized care plans that help patients regain independence and function
• Collaborate with the rehab team, including PTs, SLPs, and nurses, to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient progress accurately in EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and safe home practices
• Participate in discharge planning to support smooth transitions from hospital to home
• Cover weekend rotations to ensure continuous rehab services for patients

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Alaska state fingerprint and background check cleared or in provisional status
• Ability to work 10-hour or 8-hour rotating day shifts including weekends
• Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus

• Strong clinical reasoning and independent decision-making
• Expertise in acute care rehabilitation protocols
• Skilled in EPIC EMR documentation
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability and time management in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Patient and family education techniques
