Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to pediatric intensive care patients in a Level II Trauma center
• Monitor vitals and adjust treatment plans based on each child's needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood transfusions with precision
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, respiratory therapists, and more
• Educate and comfort families during critical moments
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR system

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Experience with IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment
• Preferred: CRRT experience, APHON certification, or experience in a pediatric teaching hospital

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of pediatric critical care protocols and patient monitoring
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and general cardiac monitoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize care effectively in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of patient ratios and safety standards
