Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in a 9-bed adolescent behavioral health unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in Cerner EMR
• Provide compassionate, therapeutic care to adolescents facing behavioral health challenges
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs and Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure a safe environment
• De-escalate crisis situations using CPI techniques while maintaining a calm presence
• Float to adult and child behavioral health units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
• Current BLS and CPI certifications required
• Pediatric behavioral health experience preferred
• Calm, compassionate demeanor with strong professional boundaries

Knowledge & Skills

• Behavioral health and crisis intervention expertise
• Medication administration and patient assessment skills
• Proficiency with Cerner, PYXIS, and DYNAMAP
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to maintain a reassuring and supportive environment
