Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room during a variety of surgical procedures, including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases
• Act as a circulator and scrub nurse, maintaining a safe and sterile environment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure the best patient outcomes
• Document intraoperative care accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Adapt quickly to changing schedules and procedures while keeping patient experience a top priority

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year current hospital acute care experience; 2+ years of OR nursing experience preferred
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Understanding of surgical asepsis, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Familiarity with on-call expectations, including about one weekday per week and periodic weekend call
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
