Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; three 12-hour shifts per week including rotating weekends and call shifts

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to laboring patients and their families
• Monitor and support mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Circulate and recover C-section patients with precision and teamwork
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, and epidural anesthesia
• Document accurately in CPN and Meditach while maintaining patient comfort
• Collaborate with a dedicated L&D team including RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM certification required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Experience with C-section circulating and recovery is essential
• Comfortable with CPN and Meditach documentation systems

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices
• Skill in fetal monitoring and interpreting AWHONN guidelines
• Expertise in newborn care immediately after delivery
• Confident in epidural anesthesia care and tub labor support
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity L&D unit
