Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to a 4:1 ratio PCU patient population, including cardiac, respiratory, DKA, and sepsis patients
• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status, including A-line monitoring
• Administer and titrate insulin, sedative, and vasopressor drips as ordered
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in MediTech Expanse
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and families through critical health events

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with an ICU background
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience managing critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with cardiac, respiratory, DKA, and sepsis patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

• Vital signs monitoring and early recognition of deterioration
• A-Line (arterial line) monitoring and interpretation
• Administration of insulin, sedative, and vasopressor drips
• Documentation in MediTech Expanse
• Comfort with Alaris IV pumps and respiratory ventilators
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in high-acuity situations
