Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver top-notch preventive care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and personalized at-home care routines
• Perform comprehensive dental assessments and maintain accurate patient charts
• Take and develop digital x-rays with precision and care
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect smiles
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure smooth patient visits
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and follow strict infection control protocols
• Document all care and treatment notes in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Relevant dental hygiene experience preferred, but new grads encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, reassuring chairside manner
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and materials
• Knowledge of infection control and OSHA safety standards
• Skilled in patient communication and oral health education
• Comfortable using dental software and digital radiography systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
