Shift Type: Per Diem, 12-hour shifts, flexible scheduling (day/night as needed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in a med/surg setting
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for children with diverse medical conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses to treatment, and progress
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to coordinate optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Advocate for the unique physical and emotional needs of pediatric patients and their families
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as appropriate
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Previous experience in med/surg or pediatric nursing is a plus
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and excellent communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of pediatric assessment and med/surg nursing principles
- Skilled in medication administration and dosage calculations for pediatric patients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Proficient with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic communication with children and families
