Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions in the PCU
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate as needed
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) preferred
• Experience in PCU, step-down, or acute care is a plus
• New graduates with a passion for progressive care are encouraged to apply
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of PCU/step-down nursing practices and procedures
• Ability to interpret telemetry and recognize cardiac changes
• Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
