Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vitals and document changes accurately
• Collaborate with RNs and the healthcare team to ensure quality care
• Assist with daily living activities and promote patient independence
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Connecticut
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts including some weekends and holidays
• Strong assessment and patient care skills
• Must be compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing protocols and patient care standards
• Medication administration expertise
• Strong documentation and charting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate bedside manner
