Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions as directed, contributing to accurate diagnostics.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, braces care, and post-treatment instructions, promoting positive outcomes.
• Manage patient records and update charts, documenting treatment plans and progress accurately.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification preferred but not required.
• X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain before start.
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus, but new grads are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with dental software such as Denticon is helpful.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is a bonus.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs safely and accurately.
• Understanding of orthodontic instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
