Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with chairside procedures and patient care
• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable and at ease
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and braces care
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain
• X-ray certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience is a plus
• A warm, caring attitude and excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Denticon) or ability to learn
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to infection control and sterilization standards
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
