Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Document patient care information accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• State certification or licensure as a dental assistant (where applicable)
• Prior experience in a dental office setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and patient record management
• Strong understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and front office staff
