Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide chairside support and comfort to young patients
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule follow-up visits

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• State certification or x-ray license as required, or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, especially with children
• Ability to work evening hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency with dental software and digital x-ray systems
• Strong interpersonal and patient care skills
• Ability to gently manage anxious or young patients
• Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail
