Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Take dental X-rays and impressions, and create study models for treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, making their experience comfortable
• Manage patient records and schedule appointments, supporting a welcoming office
• Support inventory management by monitoring supplies and placing orders as needed
• Work closely with the clinical team to deliver outstanding, personalized orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience as a dental assistant in orthodontics strongly preferred
• X-ray certification and familiarity with intraoral scanning technology
• Strong communication skills and a genuinely caring bedside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Competency in taking digital X-rays and 3D scans
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and patient flow
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
