Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments following infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygiene license or compact eligibility
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous dental hygiene experience preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
• Comfortable using dental practice management software
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
