Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and treatments tailored to each patient
- Assess functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans that drive meaningful progress
- Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and facility staff to coordinate excellent patient care
- Communicate with patients and families about goals, progress, and home strategies
- Participate in orientation and any required trainings to stay current with facility protocols
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (state licensure as required by facility) or eligible for licensure
- Previous clinical experience providing OT services preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field (as required by licensure)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in occupational therapy assessment and intervention techniques
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and clinical outcome measurement
- Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and adaptive equipment
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Good clinical reasoning and time-management skills
