Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and design individualized treatment programs that help patients regain independence
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, splinting, and adaptive-equipment training to improve function and safety
• Conduct home assessments and recommend environmental adaptations to support community living
• Document timely and accurate patient records in accordance with departmental standards
• Train patients and families in energy conservation, transfer techniques, and daily living skills
• Administer sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation as appropriate
• Participate in prevocational programs and community consultations to support return-to-work goals
• Contribute to department quality improvement activities and represent the organization professionally in the community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license required (or in process of obtaining)
• One year of experience preferred but new graduates are welcome — we coach and support growth
• Ability to complete mandatory education and maintain regulatory requirements
• Professional demeanor, punctuality, and adherence to departmental dress and identification standards
• Commitment to HIPAA confidentiality and ethical practice

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluations, treatment planning, documentation, and splinting
• Experienced with adaptive equipment training and home safety assessments
• Familiar with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, and balance disorder therapies
• Able to administer sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation techniques
• Strong communication skills for patient/family education and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Comfortable with basic mathematical concepts, report writing, and interpreting clinical guidelines
• Detail-oriented with good clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
