Location: Carbondale, IL

Start Date: 05-25-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 x 10-hour shifts (2 weekdays + 2 weekend days), flexible scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for holistic care
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment
Document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Float between Herrin, MHC, and St. Joseph's facilities as assigned

Qualifications

Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care or rehabilitation
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (AHA preferred)
Ability to float between multiple hospital locations

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in rehabilitation therapy techniques and modalities
Experience with EMR systems, specifically Point Click
Strong communication and patient education skills
Adaptability to different clinical environments and patient populations
