Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Shift 1, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 30-minute meal break

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Support residents' mobility and transfer needs safely
Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
Current CPR certification (preferred)
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of long-term care and geriatric patient needs
Skill in patient handling, transfers, and fall prevention
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management and prioritization abilities
Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
