Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in MedSurg, Telemetry, and PCU units across two campuses
Float between units as assigned, ensuring seamless patient care wherever needed
Titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and more
Interpret cardiac strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with charge nurses, monitor techs, and nursing aides to deliver coordinated care
Manage post-procedural patients (cath lab, CABG) and stepdown-level cases

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
At least 2 years of recent acute care experience
Minimum 1 year in a PCU or stepdown setting
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts before contract start

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in drip titration and cardiac medication management
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Comfortable with Cerner charting system
Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient acuities
