Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shift, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, alternating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide progressive care to adult patients (ages 15+) with conditions like CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, and weakness
Monitor telemetry and manage common drips including Cardizem and insulin
Collaborate with charge nurses, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes
Perform hourly rounding and maintain responsiveness for excellent patient experience
Float to med-surg areas as needed to support the unit
Utilize Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass an open-book exam with a 90% score during orientation
Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius rule
Comfortable with no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring skills
Proficiency in Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
Experience with mechanical lifts and patient handling
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Patient experience focus with hourly rounding and responsiveness
