Geriatric Nursing Assistant - Per Diem
Location: Bowie, MD
Start Date: 07-19-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (30-minute meal break)
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Support residents with meals and hydration
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Promote dignity and independence for every resident
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Reliable transportation to Bowie, MD
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
- Bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic understanding of elderly care and safety protocols
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management and organizational skills
