Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with call rotation (approximately 1 weekday shift per week and one weekend per month)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for orthopedic and other surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgeries
• Ensure sterile field integrity and adherence to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff for efficient patient care
• Handle surgical instruments with precision, including robotic systems when applicable
• Contribute to a positive team environment with a can-do attitude

Qualifications

• Active Washington State surgical technologist license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist, with strong orthopedic surgery background
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Certification through NBSTSA preferred
• Robotics experience is a plus and willingness to learn new techniques
• Flexible to take call shifts and work rotating weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC experience preferred)
• Knowledge of orthopedic, general, GYN, robotics, and spine cases
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
