Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver evidence-based interventions to help patients achieve meaningful daily-living goals
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes with families and team
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and equipment use
Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to integrate into the Shriners team

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (required)
Entry-level and experienced clinicians welcome; previous outpatient experience is a plus
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
Comfort working with pediatric and/or orthopedic populations is beneficial
Ability to pass facility onboarding and orientation requirements

Education

Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (MSOT, MOT, or OTD) — professional degree required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in pediatric and/or outpatient adult OT evaluations and interventions
Familiarity with adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic modalities
Proficient documentation skills and knowledge of regulatory/insurance requirements
Excellent communication and family-centered care approach
Strong time management and caseload organization abilities
