Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy focused on ADLs and functional recovery in an inpatient rehab setting
• Document patient progress thoroughly in Meditech and maintain accurate clinical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Adapt and modify treatment approaches based on patient needs and unit priorities
• Float to other inpatient rehab units as needed to support consistent patient care
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by being outgoing, flexible, and a team player

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (per job posting)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience or basic knowledge of inpatient rehab practices
• Comfort with weekend coverage (minimum 2 per 4-week period)
• Ability to float to other Methodist inpatient rehab units as needed
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and common inpatient rehab equipment such as H200/L300 and BURT

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational Therapy practices in inpatient rehab
• ADL training and therapeutic evaluations
• Meditech EMR documentation
• Experience with H200/L300 and BURT equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to manage caseload and prioritize patient care
