Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the Specialty Services outpatient clinic team, fostering a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement
• Partner with the Director of Specialty Services and Scheduling Supervisor to optimize schedules, referrals, and patient access
• Standardize and improve clinic workflows to enhance throughput and reduce patient wait times
• Ensure clinical policies, procedures, and competencies are current, understood, and consistently followed
• Monitor key metrics (flow, access, quality indicators) and drive data-informed quality improvement efforts
• Champion patient safety, regulatory readiness, and infection control in the ambulatory setting
• Recruit, orient, mentor, and evaluate staff while promoting professional growth and strong customer service
• Maintain clinic supplies, recommend equipment purchases, and support Joint Commission readiness

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S. (Alaska license or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Minimum 5 years of varied RN experience with at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare
• Active BLS certification required
• Clinical competency and manager competency to be completed within 3 months of hire
• Demonstrated strengths in team leadership, change management, and service excellence
• Ability to stand for long periods, move/lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced clinic environment

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of the nursing process and ambulatory care practices
• Experience with quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness
• Infection control principles and annual competency maintenance
• Strong clinical assessment and specimen collection skills
• Technical competence with medical equipment and clinic computer systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills
• Staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and referral coordination expertise
