Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU with 51 beds
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, adjusting care plans for ratios from 1:1 to 1:4
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and neonatal resuscitation per NRP guidelines
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and a dedicated nursing team
• Support and educate families with warmth and clarity during their NICU journey
• Document accurately in Cerner EMR and float to Peds, PICU, or Mother Baby as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level III or higher NICU experience required
• Current NRP certification required
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Stable and NIC-RNC certifications are a plus
• Detail-oriented and organized with a calm, focused presence

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong neonatal assessment and critical care skills
• Knowledge of NRP and neonatal resuscitation protocols
• Comfortable working with 1:1 to 1:4 patient ratios
• Proficient in Cerner EMR charting
• Excellent teamwork and communication with a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability to float within NICU, Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby units
