Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and prepare them for visits—your bedside manner matters
Take and record vital signs accurately to support clinical decisions
Assist clinicians during exams and procedures with professionalism
Perform routine phlebotomy and specimen collection following protocol
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient
Communicate test instructions and follow-up steps clearly to patients

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred
BLS/CPR certification required or obtain upon hire
Comfortable with phlebotomy and basic clinical procedures
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Prior outpatient or clinic experience is a plus (even 1 year helps!)

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant training or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs and patient assessment basics
Phlebotomy and specimen handling best practices
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
HIPAA and patient privacy awareness
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Teamwork and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic
