Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with attention to safety and dignity
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policies
Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow established infection control practices
Support residents’ daily living activities and encourage autonomy and comfort

Qualifications

Valid LPN license in Pennsylvania (or compact/state-appropriate licensure where applicable)
Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and a caring, professional bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medication administration and common nursing procedures
Comfortable with charting and documentation; familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus
Skilled at patient assessment, wound care basics, and infection control
Excellent teamwork, time management, and prioritization skills
Ability to interact compassionately with residents and their families
