Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Pine Point Center
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered, with careful documentation
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, and respond promptly to emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations
• Supervise and support nursing assistants and contribute to a positive care environment
• Uphold infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption required
• Must bring a government-issued photo ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Ability to pass background check and comply with facility requirements

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-first approach to care
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Solid understanding of infection control and safety protocols
