Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care and support to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Document resident conditions and care interventions clearly in the chart
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and comfort
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable with medication administration, charting, and basic wound care
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Basic wound care and dressing changes
- Charting and electronic medical record familiarity
- Vital signs assessment and clinical observation
- Infection prevention and control best practices
- Effective communication with residents, families, and staff
