Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to clinic patients following established standards and within LPN scope
Take and document vital signs and perform patient assessments accurately
Triage patient calls to determine appropriate next steps and urgency
Process prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure coordinated care
Support and guide CNAs and Schedulers by providing clear direction and oversight
Collaborate with RNs, providers, coordinators, and clinical managers to meet patient needs
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow state/federal licensure continuing education requirements

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Comfortable triaging calls, handling medication refills, and completing prior authorizations
Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to give direction to support staff

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs and patient assessment
Triage and telephone triage skills
Medication prescription refills and prior authorization workflows
Clinic nursing and patient care in an outpatient/Gastroenterology setting
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Team collaboration, delegation, and interdisciplinary communication
