Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during examinations, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices
• Manage patient records and charting using Denticon software
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Dental radiography (X-ray) certification preferred
• A friendly, caring approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology
• Chairside assisting techniques for orthodontic procedures
• Familiarity with Denticon or other dental practice management software
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
