Shift Type: Day shifts — four 10-hour shifts per week (4 x 10-hour), every other Saturday (daytime clinic schedule)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients from newborns through geriatrics, following adopted clinical protocols.
Perform thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and initiate or adjust therapies with physician supervision.
Triage and manage acute and chronic conditions, coordinating care and referrals as needed.
Document patient encounters, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients and families on prevention, treatment plans, and health maintenance to improve outcomes.
Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinic staff to optimize clinic workflows and patient throughput.

Qualifications

Current California RN and Nurse Practitioner license (Board of Registered Nursing).
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
AHA ACLS certification required if applying for inpatient privileges.
Current national certification from ANCC, AANP, PNCB, NCC, or AACN (as applicable).
Primary care clinic experience required; experience across pediatric to geriatric populations preferred.
Strongly preferred: bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Education

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (per California Board standards).

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in primary care assessment and management across the lifespan (pediatrics to geriatrics).
Familiarity with and ability to follow clinical protocols and standing orders.
Comfort working under physician supervision and collaborating in a team-based clinic environment.
Skilled in patient triage, clinical decision-making, and documentation.
Strong interpersonal and patient-education skills; cultural and language sensitivity (Spanish a plus).
