Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist - Travel
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day Shift, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) x 4 days per week with late stay; On-call weekends 2 days every 6 weeks (Saturday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during complex electrophysiology procedures including ablations, device implantations, Watchman procedures, and loop recorder placements
- Monitor patient hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms throughout EP procedures while maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio
- Operate advanced EP equipment such as Carto, Cryo, ESI, and X-ray/PACS imaging systems
- Prepare and maintain the EP lab with sterile supplies, equipment, and medications in a fast-paced environment
- Document procedural data accurately in Cerner EMR and collaborate closely with the care team
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures with precise attention to detail
Qualifications
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an EP lab or invasive cardiac setting
- Strong proficiency with EP procedures: ablation, device implantation, Watchman, loop recorders
- RCES, RCIS, or RT(R) credential preferred
- Flexibility, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of electrophysiology procedures and arrhythmia management
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Proficiency with X-ray/PACS, Cardio Lab, iSTAT, and ESI systems
- Familiarity with Carto, Cryo, and 3D mapping technology
- Understanding of sterile technique and EP lab equipment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity procedural unit
