Bill Rate: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise approximately 45 FTEs across Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Services
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies including NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and CMS
• Oversee maintenance of utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or oxygen
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure operational standards and preventive maintenance
• Act as liaison with other departments to assess needs and develop action plans
• Set clear expectations for staff and develop customer service training plans
• Manage outside contractors and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Thorough knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC, and general building maintenance
• Knowledge of autoclaving, bio-waste, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services operations
• Ability to apply engineering principles to detect and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems
• Must be willing to relocate to a rural area, Acute care Hospital Facility Experience required

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field

• Personnel management skills
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance
• Knowledge of life safety codes and regulatory compliance
• Understanding of environmental services operations
• Problem-solving skills to detect and repair equipment issues
• Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities
