Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages
• Take and develop dental x-rays while prioritizing patient safety
• Document patient care and update medical histories with accuracy
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Prior experience in a dental office setting preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency with dental practice management and imaging software
• Understanding of dental radiology and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills for compassionate patient interaction
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
