Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive practices to promote long-term dental health
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis
• Document patient care and medical histories accurately
• Collaborate with dentists to deliver comprehensive treatment plans
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Apply fluoride and sealants to protect teeth

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental environment
• New graduates welcome to apply
• Experience with dental software is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Proficiency in dental radiography
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
