Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray examinations for patients across the lifespan, applying professional judgment and radiation protection principles
• Operate CT equipment and automatic injectors; adjust contrast and protocols by age group as needed
• Assist with interventional procedures and prepare procedure rooms and equipment
• Maintain patient records, radiology files, and quality assurance documentation
• Participate in daily/weekly QA and QC tasks and support departmental quality assurance programs
• Transmit studies via teleradiology systems and consult with referring physicians as required
• Provide safe patient transfers and age-appropriate patient care, including pediatric and geriatric adjustments
• Rotate shifts, assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor, and perform ancillary duties as requested

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Competency or certification in additional modalities (CT, MR, MG, NM, ARDMS) preferred
• Comfortable assisting with sterile technique and venipuncture

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency certification within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic medical radiography and radiation protection
• Quality assurance and equipment care
• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and protocol modification
• Automatic injector setup and contrast administration knowledge
• Teleradiology transmission competence
• Sterile technique and assistance with interventional procedures
• Patient transfer and age-specific patient care across the lifespan
• Record maintenance and departmental supply inventory support
