Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray procedures accurately and efficiently for quality interpretation
• Educate patients about exams and obtain informed consent when required, ensuring comfort and safety
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards for patient and staff protection
• Perform equipment quality control per manufacturer recommendations and troubleshoot issues; notify management of equipment problems
• Operate imaging equipment according to department protocols and assist with clerical duties and patient transportation when needed
• Verify orders, confirm patient identity by two identifiers, complete required paperwork, and submit studies to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Notify Radiologist immediately for STAT/emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact details
• Support cross-training, assist and train imaging staff, and participate in departmental performance improvement activities

Qualifications

• Registered in at least two modalities (or eligible to obtain within 1 year): ARRT (R, CT, MR, M), ARDMS (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RMSKS), NMTCB, or equivalent
• Current BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Prior practicing technologist experience in one or more of the listed modalities preferred (2 years preferred)
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and meet employee health requirements
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be at least 16 years old (21 for driving positions)
• Willingness to work nights, take call, and work holidays/weekends as required

Education

• Registry: ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB in two modalities (or eligible to obtain within 1 year)
• BLS certification required (current or obtained within 90 days)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and X-Ray/Radiography expertise
• PACS and RIS/HIS experience and comfort with electronic records
• Radiation safety (ALARA) and quality control (QC) procedures
• Patient education, communication, and infection control best practices
• Equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft Office familiarity and ability to handle clerical tasks
• Cross-training mindset and ability to support multiple imaging modalities
