Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners (GE 32-slice Rev EVO and Toshiba 32-slice) to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform CT imaging and X-rays as required while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to prioritize studies and communicate critical findings
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and ensure images are properly archived to GE PACS/Carestream
• Provide portable imaging and support C-Arm procedures as needed across units
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards for optimal image quality
• Float to other units as needed and respond to call assignments professionally and promptly

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification — REQUIRED
• Texas Radiology License — REQUIRED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — REQUIRED
• GE CT experience — REQUIRED (must have hands-on experience with GE scanners)
• 2+ years of CT technologist experience preferred
• Experience with Meditech RIS, GE PACS, Carestream, Toshiba, portable imaging, and C-Arm is a plus
• Willingness to float and participate in call rotations

Education

• ARRT (CT) certification (required)
• Current Texas Radiology License (required)
• BLS (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Experience with GE CT scanners (32-slice Rev EVO) and Toshiba CT systems
• Familiarity with GE PACS and Carestream image management
• Comfortable using Meditech for documentation and RIS workflows
• Strong patient positioning and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced hospital settings
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, including variable weekend coverage and call
