Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow established CT protocols and adjust parameters for patient safety and image quality
• Screen and prepare patients, ensuring proper identification and education prior to imaging
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to prioritize urgent and trauma imaging needs
• Document procedures and findings accurately in Cerner and maintain complete patient records
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate with service for any technical issues
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control practices at all times
• Provide compassionate patient care, especially for cardiac imaging cases when applicable

Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
• Valid CA CRT (California) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience (as listed)
• Hands-on experience with Siemens CT systems required
• Experience with Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion 64 and Aquilion 16 preferred
• Cardiac imaging experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable charting in Cerner and following acute care/trauma protocols
• Willingness to wear facility scrub color (Teal) as part of dress code

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
• Familiarity with CT protocols for contrast and non-contrast studies
• Understanding of radiation safety and dose optimization principles
• Proficiency with PACS, DICOM image handling, and Cerner charting
• Patient positioning and IV contrast administration support
• Ability to troubleshoot common CT equipment and communicate effectively with service teams
• Excellent patient communication and triage skills in an acute care setting
