Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams independently and at a technical level not requiring direct supervision
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and proficiently, ensuring high-quality image acquisition
• Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections following protocol
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and necessary medications to ensure smooth patient flow
• Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain radiation safety and protection standards
• Adhere to ARRT Standards of Ethics, Enloe Medical Center policies, and support the department’s service excellence mission
• Communicate effectively with patients and the care team—provide compassionate patient care and clear instructions

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) — required
• Approved CPR certification — required
• ARRT registration and State fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Minimum desired experience: Two years in diagnostic x-ray and One year in CT
• Desired certifications: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification; advanced CT certification

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
• Approved CPR certification; ARRT registration expected/desired

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation physics, and radiation protection
• Proficient in CT equipment operation and diagnostic radiography techniques
• Skilled in contrast media administration and venipuncture for IV contrast
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and image acquisition best practices
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient-care skills
