Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with timely documentation and communication
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families
- Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and transfers
- Strong communication and teamwork mindset
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care and safety practices
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and hygiene procedures
- Clear verbal and written communication with residents and staff
- Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
- Familiarity with basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation is a plus
