Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly in resident charts
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and family members to coordinate care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
- Able to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Strong attention to detail, compassion, and excellent communication skills
- Reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed accredited CNA program and current state CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
- Comfortable taking and recording vitals accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Good charting and documentation habits
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Time-management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
