Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care: bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance
Assist the nursing team with vital signs, activities of daily living (ADLs), and accurate documentation
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to ensure safety and continuity of care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Support admissions, transfers, and discharges with professionalism and attention to detail

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Certification/license valid in Connecticut (CT) or ability to obtain state authorization
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong verbal and written communication
Reliable and punctual with the ability to pass background checks and drug screening
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals: ADLs, safe transfers, feeding assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical documentation
Infection control and resident safety practices
Strong teamwork, time management, and prioritization skills
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations effectively
