Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Assist with safe patient mobility and transfers following facility protocols
- Document patient care accurately and promptly to support continuity of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or as required by facility)
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care in accordance with facility policy
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification (state-specific)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with basic patient care and ADLs
- Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Infection control best practices and hygiene standards
- Safe patient transfer and mobility techniques
- Accurate charting and timely communication with nursing staff
