Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for scheduled and emergency surgical procedures
• Gather and organize all necessary surgical instrumentation and supplies based on surgeon preference cards
• Handle surgical instruments with precision and care during operations
• Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and responding to pressure assignments with composure
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values
• Collaborate effectively with department personnel, medical staff, and vendor representatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification required
• Active BLS/BCLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of current operating room experience
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices
• Proficient in surgical instrumentation identification and handling
• Skilled in supply management and anticipating the needs of the surgical team
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with medical professionals
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced OR environment
